to the adved and long time readers of Dr. Dyers books, after reading the material and tryin to implement the teachings in you lives did one day, boom focus and clairity appear?

I've noticed a lot of what he talks about happening by implementing several things from POI, (wanting more for others than you want for yourself, commit acts of kindness with no reward in mind etc.) like the right things happening, right people etc etc, but I get lost in the forrest of my previous mind set so often, the focus and clairity of his works haven't solidfied in alot of aspects in my life (guess it might take a while, just heard of dr. dyer and got his book bout 3 months ago, and I haven't read the book everyday, I'm a product of the digital age tv and computers D )

If you try hard and long enough does...I guess your brain get rewired to a way where source is a thought away kind of thing?

Hello,

I found a couple of things that helped me in my spiritual life. The first one is Dr. Dyer advises us to have infinite patience.

The second one for me personally goes hand in hand. We have taken our life times to learn, react and think like we do now. It will take time to change these things for the better.

Be encouraged, we have which ever title you choose to help us in our changing. The Spirit,Creator,God,Source,Life Force or Universe. There is serious power here for us to connect to and draw that power into our lives through intention.

I have to discipline myself until new things become second nature like meditating and studying the teachings presented through Wayne Dyer and several other wonderful teachers. Everyone here is a teacher. We all have life experiences good and bad which can help each other with.

Some things are hard to understand so please ask and those that can well help. I am new to this group and in a short time am still in awe at the level of knowledge here. There are many kind and wonderful people.

Sincerely,
Eric

disciplining myself is tough, as my energy level is always at a minimum, I always seem to be on auto pilot, out of focus, operating at a different frequency than life etc etc. which leaves me kinda blah... mrgreen

a large percentage on the forum here, say that everything we have, do etc. is governed interally through thought because everything we do, see etc. can be traced to a thought ....well my thought wasn't for me to have ocd (obsessive compulsive disoder) in the first place and eventually having extremly low energy levels as a cause (an average ocd-er brain http://www.ocdcentre.com/assets/Brain-scan-2.gif), so how was the condition of not just ocd originated? through a thought?? I believe thoughts mainfesting our experiences to be true to a certain extend however we can't control everything we do. Maybe I'm just trying to find wholes in the topics dr. dyer discusses.. maybe I am learning damaging analyzise techniques from my philosopy or religion class D .... ah whatever LOL... i'll just keep chuggen on with the life and hope that i can wade through the infinate thought processes and ideas and find a way to find my own that is good

"disciplining myself is tough, as my energy level is always at a minimum, I always seem to be on auto pilot, out of focus, operating at a different frequency than life etc etc. which leaves me kinda blah..."

Disciplining yourself can appear "tough" or it can appear "easy." The difference being a thought you hold within your mind and the next one that would change that thought. You alone have that power within you. Every thought you hold onto - including the above "poor me," you have given value to - that thought has meaning for you. You alone have given it meaning and value - so you alone can take it away.

Close your eyes and what do you see? Darkness. Now open them and what do you see? The world you make with the thoughts you hold. The thoughts you have are projected onto the world you make - you are the director, star, writer and producer of your life - your movie. You can make into a drama or a light filled experience. And again, the power to do so is yours alone.

"well my thought wasn't for me to have ocd (obsessive compulsive disoder) in the first place and eventually having extremly low energy levels as a cause"

Forget where the thought came from or how it came or who might be responsible for it - forget all of that - drop it - let it go. Change that thought that you are holding about what you believe you are. Start seeing yourself as you would like to see yourself.

"I believe thoughts mainfesting our experiences to be true to a certain extend however we can't control everything we do. Maybe I'm just trying to find wholes in the topics dr. dyer discusses.. maybe I am learning damaging analyzise techniques from my philosopy or religion class"

Just some observation here, from me to you you either believe or you do not believe - you cannot believe a little or a lot - you simply believe or not. Fear is holding you back from accepting what you want to beleive. And with that fear comes your search for "holes" - what are holes? PLaces for you to fall into and wallow in self pity and more fear. And do not try to place blame else where - you are the only responsible person for the life you lead. And the life you lead is determined by the thoughts you hold and the intentions you have.

"i'll just keep chuggen on with the life and hope that i can wade through the infinate thought processes and ideas and find a way to find my own that is good"

Picture yourself as a train - an engine pulling a lot of freight cars behind you. And see how difficult it is when you are pulling this load, and not how often you stop and attached more cars to your already long train. The pull is overpowering to you - you feel worn out - you feel exhausted - you feel tired and even hopeless. What could the solution possibly be? Perhaps the next station you stop at - the next thought you have of how bad off you are - you could start disengaging some cars - a few at a time (a change of thought) and then you can move onto the next station and repeat that operation again - and then move on to the next, etc. With each station you leave you will notice how much lighter the load has become - and soon you are operating at just a little pull. Eventually, you can let go of all the cars - all the old thoughts - and discover what a powerful locomotive you really are.

And if you find yourself wading through "doo-doo" that know you can get out of it and walk around it. Did you know that any fear is but an illusion and rather than deny it, you simply walk through it so that you can see that it was in fact a nothing. And forget "hope" and start making some intentions that you want to experience in your life. The whole of us on this board support you in whatever you so choose - but remember that choice is yours to make and yours to manifest.

ron what tools do you use to reduce the amount of cars, besides just concentrating on a thought change? Music? I can tell you right now I am listening to one of my big bands cd's and I get a surge of possitive... maybe today right now I'm heading back to the thought process I had a month or so ago... wait I'll rephrase I know that I am back on that track wink D

Did you ever look at what is on your path as a tool to assist you in finding the spirituality of your Truth that lies within you? Every teacher is a tool. Every situation is a tool. Every author and every book is a tool. Now I am not suggesting that every tool need to be used. What I am stating that everything on your path is a tool of some sorts. To reduce the amount of cars - the amount of noise begins with focusing my thoughts on that which is within me - my truth. In meditation we try to get to the place of "no-thought" - the place of no past, no future and just the now - the present moment. It is, in actuality, the only reality we have - it is the eternity we are. Why do we hear the cars - the noise instead? Because we are not ready to let go of the values we have given our thoughts; values such as how much noise the cars are making, etc. If you believe that this world you see is the result of the projection of your thoughts, then you will be able to see you are responsible for your world, and all that is it. You notice noise, but you could just as easily notice peace. It is all a thought you hold. It is all your responsibility. There is no one and no place to put any blame for the world you see, or the life you lead.
