The Swan - The Fraud

I was just watching the tv show called "THE SWAN" and I couldn't help thinking that so many folks think that their inner beauty is dependent on their outer beauty.

Our physical bodies sure are a reflection about how we feel about ourselves on the inside.

Have you watched this show? Any comments?

Do you think they are perpetuating the "you must be beautiful on the outside before you can feel beautify on the inside" or does the show have no responsibility to its audience because we are all 100% responsible for how we feel about ourselves?

Hi Chris,

I think you are the one who invited me to explore and join. I thank you.

Having said that, I was cruising through the site and couldn't help responding to your post. In that regard, Dyer had the right idea when he wrote YOU"LL SEE IT WHEN YOU BELIEVE IT. I have met beautiiful women that I couldn't wait to get away from, and the most beautiful woman I have ever met didn't look all that good on the outside. I guess that you and I would agree that her light shined brightly.

And yes, I have met people who are beautiful both inside and out. By the same token, there is no reality. There is only perception. As a writer, I admire the ones who wrote our fairy tales. They already knew what I am just beginning to learn A good example is BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.

Being a writer, I could go on all day, but I won't. Therefore, how I am on the inside is what reflects on the surface. I had forgotten that earlier this year, but I got it back again.

Thanks for the post

Namaste,
glenn

Glenn,

Yeah, we are all guilty of experiencing that fate. D

Curious

What do you write?

ie What's your writing focus?

Chris.......I wrote a novel called, ONLY ONE TEAR, MAY FALL. It is based upon a story that a woman told me while I was stationed with the Third Marine Div on Okinawa. She came from Southern Bavaria and was coerced into becoming the mistress of an SS General. She was married and had a two year old daughter at the time. The husband? He was in the army and out of the way. During the story, both she and the Herr General find much more than either of them expected to find.

I write under the name Otto Behrman. Sorry, nothing on the shelves yet.

My genre is historical fiction, but I am still stuck in the Third Reich. I call my current book HONOR IS AS HONOR DOES. I won't go into that storyline. There is nothing more boring than an author who constantly elaborates on his storyline. I stay away from the stuff that dyer writes, because there are too many people in that genre. As a storyteller, I can still get the message across to anyone who is ready to receive it. Otherwise, I simply attempt to entertain them.

Thanks for asking.

Namaste......glenn
