Kimberly Garrison, a certified personal trainer and owner of One on One Ultimate Fitness in Philadelphia ( www.1on1ultimatefitness.com ) wrote this new article called, "Be your own fitness inspiration -- 10 motivational tools to get yourself moving"

Here is an excerpt
3. Never talk defeat.Don't waste time asking, "Why should I succeed this time - when I failed all the other times?" And avoid negative people who don't support you. If you have a defeatist attitude you will surely suffer defeat. One of my favorite writers, Wayne Dyer, calls this "stinking thinking." If "stinking thinking" is holding you back, replace self-defeating talk with self-affirming inner dialogue.

Actually, I think it was Zig Ziglar that coined "stinkin-thinkin" but the message is the same...

My favorite part of her article was this
10. Just Do It!If your goal is to get fit, shed some pounds, or adopt a healthy eating plan, then you must plant the seeds of success in your mind and "just do it." Be fit, be strong, be your BEST!

" Just Do It!If your goal is to get fit, shed some pounds, or adopt a healthy eating plan, then you must plant the seeds of success in your mind and "just do it." Be fit, be strong, be your BEST!"

I am not really a goal oriented person - only because goals are out there, and I try to be right here - in the now. In this quote above is what I call the best of "goals" - if goals are your thing. "Plant the seeds of success in your mind" - means to change the thoughts you are hanging onto which are causing you not to reach your goal. Plant the thoughts of a "thinner you" or "successful in your career" or whatever you want to accomplish. See yourself at the end already - then notice how you got there - with the right thought.
