How does Wayne Dyers message help and inspire you .

Does he motivate you to be the best that you can be every day.

Do you feel you are living life to the full ??

Are you truly in charge of your own destination ??

Dr. Dyer is a wonderful inspiration for me. I read "wisdom of the ages" on a daily basis to remind me of the great spirits of the past that once walked this planet and also to remind me of the simple things in life that keep me smiling. )

I used to study spirituality from Dyer and Chopra....I followed their teachings and just got myself in a lot of trouble. I dropped spirituality believing I was huring myself. Haven't found my way back, yet a part of me thinks i have just been derailed. not sure what do do at this point, but I hope more people write in this discussion to tell of their benefits from this study.

I believe that Wayne Dyer is sincere and truly believes in what he is teaching. But I'm having a real problem with manifesting, it just isn't working for me. In fact, I'm finding when I manifest for something, the opposite happens, no matter how focused I am. This really makes me doubt the validity of what he is teaching. I'm still trying to keep the positive thoughts going, but when the outcome of things is completely different than what I manifested for, it makes me doubtful that it really works.

"Guest" and LindaC,
May I suggest page 19 in "Power of Intention".

I enjoyed the movie, "As Good As It Gets", with Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt. What is relevant here is taken from the title. I remind myself often that if my life ended today, that "this" is as good as it got.
All the things I want, goals, unfinished business, everything all boils down to the "now".

How good is it for you "in your now".

I think this is where humility and especially gratitude come into the picture.

My ego is a constant obstacle to to appreciating yesterdays blessings and success. I am gradually learning to carry forward the gratitude for all the wondrous blessings that have come and be carried into this day and tomorrow in the arms of faith.

Blessings,
Gary

(1) I don't see it so much as Wayne Dyer's message. I have seen him in person and on TV. I am drawn to his warm, avuncular demeanor and see him as a wonderful, delightful messenger.
The "message" is, for me, an adjunct and confirmation that helps strengthen my faith and affirm my way on this path.

(2)Again, it is not about "him" motivating me, it's the message.

(3)&(4) 14 years ago at the age of 41, I made a committment to find and live "my real life". I chose to seek and to know "my own true spiritual self". That I was born and created to be. I also was very clearly specific what "real life" means. To have an experience in the earthly realm and physical form that includes the "real deal". To laugh heartily when it's funny. To cry from the depths of my soul when it is tragic. To cope with all of lifes conumdrums.

In short, to deal with everything and solve some of it.

And, yes, this very much feels like being "in charge of my destiny".
But, that sounds a lot like ego.

Blessings,
Gary

My response Wayne is only the messenger here.

Does he motivate you to be the best that you can be every day.
Response He of himself does nothing - but the message he brings is what is important to me.

Do you feel you are living life to the full ??
Reponse My life is totally full when I find myself in the present moment, the now - otherwise life has a lot of voids in it.

Are you truly in charge of your own destination ??
Response And what is meant by destination? Where am I going? Are you referring to 'going back to God'? I never left!

Namaste - Ron

1) Wayne speaks a truth that reminds me of what I already know to be true for myself. I don't buy every truth he has to offer, but take what matters to me and leave the rest.

2) He does not motivate me. I motivate me to be the best every day.

3) Yes, I think so.

4) I am totally in charge of my perception of my destination. (How's that for dodging your question ; - )
