I caught Wayne Dyer on a PBS Saturday morning special a few weeks ago and I was so thoroughly impressed that I watched just about the whole Fund Drive with the commercials and got the audio book on Intention. I was having a really bad week and he was just I needed. Whether or not he changes or embellishes his facts has no bearing on me whatsoever. Organized religion is uplifting but how much of that walking on water talk can you believe? The message is the same. The human race is a really fragile being and whatever it takes to relieve some of the stress of everyday life is beneficial to us. I'm a east coaster transplanted in Northern California and was raised as a disciple of the Sopranos TV show. Ego was all I knew until I got the hell out of there. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Wayne seems to be a master of marketing and a brilliant salesman and the message is of tolerance and if I could quote Wayne as only a Californian can....."Dude, Remember rule #6. Regards, Bob

Two questions Which Rule #6 are you talking about and what does it mean to you personally?

My post was in defense of wayne embellishing the truth. I was simply replying to the person who started this thread to not take it personally. The rule number 6 I was referring to was "Don't take yourself so seriously".

I thought it was "Don't take yourself so God-Damned seriously"...which gives the whole idea a humerous, kind of ironic connotation. Of course, God doesn't "damn" anything, but I have to think that even God doesn't take himself seriously, as most believers in God think...they certainly take themselves and their beliefs seriously. I used to be one of them. I was and they are hypocritical and close minded individuals who take themselves too seriously. God is about joy, love, acceptance, blessedness and gratefulness...not about suffering, hate & fear, judgement, meanness, and bitchiness, as most believers actually practice, while they are preaching the love part. If your God does not bring you joy, check your premises!
