Do you think that we are god?!Do you think that your god is diffirent from my God?

I do not believe that I AM God. I believe that God resides in me. I believe that "your" God and mine are one in the same. I just believe that we may speak to him/her differently. Just as no 2 hearts are the same I believe that no 2 prayers are the same. It saddens me all the pain caused by people who can not accept that there is no 1 correct way to pray or prayer to say. True faith should not inflict pain.

What is your response to the question you pose?

I don't think it ! I know it !

We are all god, how could it not be. We are all one, of and by the same source.

One of my favorite quotes by DWD;

" If you can't find GOD in a flower, you will never find GOD in a book !"

And another favorite by D. Chopra;

" I am that, you are that, this is that, and that's all there is ! "

What is "THAT ? (GOD)

Wizdumb-----------Well put. I was raised in a Baptist environment and it took me years to find my current enlightenment and it was through reading people like D Chopra, DWD, Abraham-Hicks, and so many others. For a long long I was still going to church and reading these books and then I realized that I was listening to the minister and inside I was not not agreeing with everything. It caused me to begin a deeper search. No I don't feel that I have all the answers. Hardly. But now I enjoy life more than ever instead of constantly beating myself up. Yes, I am still a work in progress.............Karen

If you take a cup of water from the ocean and bring it home, is it still sea water? It has it's seperate existance in your house and still is part and parcel of the sea. God is relationship with eternal concious bliss. So what is your relationship? It's like different children's relationship with their parents-different but appropriate to each situation.

Buddylee,

Is the air or space within your house, seperate from the air or space that is outside your house ? Is it not all air and space.

The space within your house remains the same space outside your house, and when the house is no longer there, ah, there is only space, no seperation.

A quote I really like and DWD uses it very often,

"you can't get wet, from the word WATER " Alan Watts

Seperation- Fragmentaion - Attachments stem from the EGO (Edging God Out).

There are no explainations.

"Truth" - (no ego in that name, huh)

Evaluate your perception of what GOD is.

I beleive exactly as Dr. Dyer asserts, we are all a part of "God". God is universal and is not specific to any one religion or beleif system. I view God as the unidentifiable energy that makes each of our hearts beat, makes the plants grow, has the sun rise each and everyday. God is very real to me and I feel evidence of that each and every day in a thousand different ways.

Dear "The Truth",
What an angry little Christian you are. Please keep in mind what Jesus said about judging others. Maybe you should be a bit more careful if you want to secure your place in Heavon. Ok now who was it that said..."The Kingdom of God lives in You" who was it the uttered that nonsence??? Oh ya it was Jesus Christ...your lord and savior.

Get a clue and lighten up,
Many blessings

I am not God If I were God that would mean that I created myself.

I know there are some on this list that actually believe that they created themselves. For those who do believe that I wonder how many can say, "Yeah, I remember, in (chose a year) I decided to enter the womb of (choose a woman) who I selected for my Mom . . . " That's pretty out there, for if that were true then all the hardship that we face in our lives would mean that it wasn't anyone elses fault but our own - afterall, we created it, right? I mean if we have the power to create ourselves, then we have the power to create every experience in our lives. Again, that is a very false belief.

What do I believe? I believe that God created the world and everything in it (including me and you). I believe that God sent His Son to this fallen world to save those who believe in Him and His Word (the Bible). I believe that all hardships we face an circumstances that God uses to build our character and grow us closer to Him, to fully depend on Him.

I hope that my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, uses my response to this string to open just one persons eyes to His truth and shows them them the falseness of what is being proposed in this string.

May Christ be your life,
Heidi

Dear Heidi,
I really struggled with the idea of answering your entry, mainly because you want a big debate, you want more and more oppurtunities to try to push your ideas onto everyone else....and I don't want to give you what you want. however, I feel this needs to be said.
I started coming to this "message board" about a year ago. It was truly amazing to me. In a world where the majority think as you do, it was so nice to find a place where I could read about thoughts and ideas written by people who thought more in the way that I do. Then you started writing and writing and writing about "your savior" You even wrote me a long reply because I mentioned that I had an aunt who was a Christian Scientist. You said ....because it was a " man made religion" it wasn't the real word of God. Now this was the stupidest thing I'd ever heard...God didn't write the bible...hardly. And those wise, brilliant people who did take the time to do so, did it at least 50 years later...(historians say it was closer to 100 but fanatics such as yourself like it closer to 50...so let's say 50) None of the people who wrote the bible were even alive during the time of Jesus...and if they were they weren't there to witness anything. There were no computers, tv;s newspapers to keep the story accurate. All they had was "word of mouth" good words, from good mouths...but still we all know how stories change and grow...just look at the kid's game telephone.
Also, if you are a "true Christian" I urge you to study the Aramaic language and read the bible in the language that Jesus spoke. The original bible is quite different... you will be shocked. If you don't have the time or energy to take that on...(which is no excuse) just read the translation of "the Lord's prayer" just to see how translations aren't exact.

So anyway, this "blog" became, to me, so much less of a joyful place to visit in cyberspace because everytime I logged on...there you were preaching again. Now I am so thankful that we live in a country where free speech is protected, and our freedom to worship is as well...but I for one stopped visiting this "blog" ..message board...WHATEVER. I came back a few weeks ago....OMG...no new people, no new comments or ideas, just a few updates from you and some crazy nut ("the truth") carring on and on about the same things.
Heidi, Do you think that what you are writing is anything new to any of us??? Believe me Heide we all no where to go should any of us decide that your way is the best way. Your beliefs are everywhere!
I can't help wondering if others felt as I do and decided not to particiapate in this forum....How sad is that. ....OR maybe after reading your replies they all went out and became "saved" in that case "hats off to you" However, I think if that were so they'd be writing about it like crazy.
Finally, Heide...I wanted to share MY ideas of what a true Christian should be. First, you speak of your children and different activities and singing in the choir....Do you really think that is serving the Lord.... why aren't you out finding shelter for the homeless, or inviting one or two to stay in your home...why aren't you at the state institutions praying with the "insane"
why aren't you fighting to abolish the death penalty...( OK now most Christians I know are pro. death penalty which is crazy.)..and maybe you are spending your days doing all the things I mentioned...maybe you aren't supporting a president who has sent so many to war. I could be judging you all wrong (and I know it is wrong to judge at all..but hey I am human)because all I know are your posts and replies. But until you do all these things....until you..(anyone) embraces the bum on the street and dedicates their time and their money (if they are blessed enough to have money) to the continuation of the work that was started by Jesus Christ...well then you have no right to preach!!!! Actually, you have the right to in this country...so I will re-word that...You Shouldn't !!!
Look at your life...you may find that you are a very big part of the problem and not the solution.
OK ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...and one more thing..I promise. I don't think the people here really think that they are GOD!!! I don't think they believe they did it all, rather, being created by God puts whatever God is made up of...in them, in us...ect....That's all.

SGN in TN,

I appreciate your transparency and sharing your heart with me.

Clearly you are upset and my intent on this list is not to upset, rather to share the truth. I am not interested in a debate, never have been, I'm simply sharing what God's Word says based on the topics that I am lead to on this list. Why do I care? Because (if you've read all my posts you know that) I was a New Ager, a Dyer follower for many years. When I found Christ my heart yearned to share the truth with Dr. Dyer. I care for him. I care for those who follow and practice his teachings. I know what God's Word says about false teachers and I so hope and pray that Dr. Dyer comes to the truth before his journey here is over, for if he doesn't I know where he will end up and that deeply saddens me. He has so many followers, IF he did find Christ, I wonder if everyone on this list would hear God's truth spoken through Dr. Dyer and turn the Christ, or if those on this list would then call Dyer "Nuts" and continue living as they choose to.

I'm not going to respond to every comment from your email, but I do want to share with you that the church I attend reaches out to the neighborhoods in our area and the those in other countries. A group from our church is going to Romania this summer to help the community there. We go to an orphanage in Guatemala every year. Next door to our ministry center is a low-income apartment complexes. Our church, the Body of Christ, has been reaching out to that community with food, Bible classes, and parties. At Thanksgiving we opened our doors to those people in need and fed those who would not have had food on the table for the holiday. Just two weeks ago we hosted a "carnival" for the folks from the apartments. There were games, free food, drink, along with food for them to stock their cubbard’s with. At that carnival, sixteen of these folks accepted Christ. I could go on, but I will stop there.

As an FYI – I use the NASB translation of the Bible, as does the church I attend. The NASB was chosen because it is the most literal to the Greek, word for word.

SGN in TN, I believe the Holy Spirit is reaching for you. Your email is such a confirmation of God orchestrating all the events up to this point. Neither one of us have been out on this list in a while. The other day I was lead to come take a look at the list and to respond to the string that I responded to; in turn, He lead to you come out on this list only to find me, as you say, Preaching again . . .". God is amazing.

My His Words be received by you and may you worship the Savior, Jesus Christ.

Heidi,
It is obvious that we aren't going to agree...and that will have to be allright.
It is hard for me to understand who anyone can believe in a GOD that would say....I love you I love you I love you..you are so special but at the time of your death if you have not started to think in the exact way I want you to...I will disown you for all time.
I mean if I were God..(and as I said earlier...I know that I am not) I would give everyone a zillion chances to "get it right" an infinity. I couldn't give up on any of my children no matter what they believed.
And...speaking of children...what if one day on of yours says...I don't really believe...Do you believe they will go to Hell??? what about your parents, grandparents, great grandparents...etc...do you picture them in hell??????? If so how can you even function and still call yourself a loving person.????? I couldn't enjoy heavon if all my loved ones weren't there.
I do believe that your church reaches out to your community...but still not enough to be christians..not in the true sence of the word...not for someone who you believe has saved your soul. I have known people who have done this...abandoned all their "wordly" stuff and cushy homes and private schools....to really feel like they could relate to those less fortunate....and so on. I don't know exactly but I do know that if I was to become..."saved" it would be because I was following an example not because someone was telling me over and over what will happen if I don't.
OK.... we could go on like this till the end of time....and still not say anything new.
Thanks for your response once again,

Heidi

SGN in TN,

Thank you for your response.

May I encourage you to go here http://www.walkintheword.com/. Just listen to one of Pastor James sermons.
I'm assuming you live in Tennessee and I am sure Pastor James show airs there, too, but if not, you can listen online. He's the founding pastor of the church we attend. He reminds me TOTALLY of Dyer - only Christ focused. Mind you, I was into Dyer from the mid-80's through 2000, so I loved his earlier stuff (Your Erroneous Zones, PUlling Your Own Strings, The Skys the Limit) because he was right in your face. I love that. Slap me upside the head with boldness and I hear ya, and that is how Pastor James is - very bold, all Scripture . . .

Anyway, I appreciate your response and hope that you hear His voice. I truly believe He is knocking on your door - my prayer is that you would open it and receive His Gift.

In Him,
Heidi

Heide,
Thanks but I will not be taking you up on your invitation to listen to the "slap you upside the head preacher"
Yes, I live in Tennessee, and believe me the one thing this state doesn't need is another person telling the everyone else how to be "saved"
I have a favorite preacher too though Heide, he saws....
" Jesus is great but all you christians really freak me out" That is really it for me and that quote says it all. I love GOD and Love learning about the works of Jesus...and so many others. I don't think God or anything about him can be placed in a neat box but you seem to do just that no matter what logic, evidence or even common sence may say that you may be wrong. I would be surprised if you were to give up on your entire belief system just because little ol' me sent you a post. Just know that I am not going to accept your beliefs because they do not add up ...at least not to me. I can't believe that 2+2 = 182...no matter how much you say it or how many say "but it's the real truth" it just doesn't make sence.
I know that you like to have the last word...so I am giving you that. Please write back and tell me how you used to be a "new ager" and bla bla bla...I have read your posts. I will not be continuing this "thread"
Peace to you and I really do hope that no-one you love ever confesses that they really "don't believe"
Oh and I too think DWD is cool but I am no way some blind follower or groupie of his or anyone's and if he were to "become a christian" which I highly doubt because it totally contradicts what he says he believes. Still, I would wish him well...and that would be it.

Heidi

Susan,

Here is a famous Dyer quote (compliments of http://www.fosterclub.com/funstuff/fam_fosterKids/wayneDyer.cfm)

"If you take an orange and squeeze it and say, What will come out? …well, it’s orange juice, because it’s an orange. That what’s inside. If someone squeezes you – puts pressure on you, says something you don’t like – out of you comes anger, hatred, bitterness, anxiety, tension, fear, stress. It’s not because of who did the squeezing or what’s the instrument. It’s because of what’s inside.”

Based on the content and tones of your posts, SGN in TN/Susan, in the correspondence that we've had over the last few days, I see every single unpleasant thing that Dyer mentions in his quote coming out of you. As Dyer's quote says, it's not because of Christians, Heidi's preaching on this list, or anything else that has happened in your life, it's a direct result of the choices (in your mind/thinking) that you continue to water; or as the Bible says, you are reaping what you have sown (sinful thinking).

I will be praying for you, Susan in Tennessee, that your pride (or as Dyer calls it "Ego") would be destroyed and that you would humbly come to Him ready for the healing and change that ONLY He can do.

In Him,
Heidi

Dear Heide,
I suppose I owe you an apology. I didn't mean my posts or responces to come off sounding mean spirited. However, I am willing to accept that they very well might have. I guess in "real face to face life" I wouldn't have challenged your beliefs the way I did....but because it was in cyber space ....I felt as though I could say anything to you. In doing this I may have lost sight of the most important thing. YOU are not cyberspace or a computer but a human being who feels just as strongly about things as I do. So for this I sincerely hope you accept my appology.
What it all comes down for me is this....I don't believe God has ....for example...an E-mail address...www.god .com and those who discover that address recieve redemption and those of us who may try to reach him in a .org...etc...kind of way will be condemed. I believe in a God who created all of us and loves us and is happy to welcome us all into the kingdom of heavon. After all, we are his creations, his children, how could we ever be discarded. (What happens to the "truly bad people" ...I don't know but still it is between them and God.)
You believe differently and that is just as good...especially because of the peace it brings you.
and although, it may always upset me when you or anyone "preach" about the "one way" ...I have no right to lash out. In doing this I am doing exactly what I say I don't like. So that is for me to work on...and I will have an oppurtunity to grow as a human being. So I thank you!!
OK I really hope we can, for now at least put this to rest.
Much Peace,

Heidi

Susan,

Apology accepted!

That's the danger of email/cyber space . . . we can't see one another's expressions, hear tones, et cetera. I have had my share of coming across "wrong" to family, friends, sisters in Christ, via email, but as you said, you learn from those situations.

God bless,

Hi everyone,it's been a while since I have posted anything. When saying something like "we are gods".I can see how that easily can be misunderstood.Do I think I am a god?No way jose! lol If I were god or a god that would mean that I was divine.I still have to eat, sleep, breathe and deficate.I don't think that a divine entity has to do any of that. However,I have been created from divinty. So that means that a piece of my creator is in me.We are both physical and spiritual beings.BOTH!The problem is that most people either don't know that or forget.Being the spiritual beings that we are, we are capable of manifesting these "God like" qualities in our lives.I personaly do not like calling myself one because I feel almost as if it were a disrespect to the Master Creator.Acknowledging our creator paying respect and appreciating his awesomeness to me is first and foremost. No matter what our endevous our, they do not happen by our sheer will alone. It is not just between us.But between us and God.No matter what you call him.He created the animals that go on pure instinct.Because he programmed them as such to obey his law.The angels as well must obey his law.He made us a combination of the to and gave us free will to either behave as animals or Angels.Thats what we decide.Peace,Love and good happiness stuff,S.O.G.
