I have been reading this forum since last fall and frankly Chris, these are my observations.
The forum has way, way too much "stuff" on it for anyone wanting to interact to try to figure where there ideas might fit in. It took me several minutes to decide where to put this post. For whatever reason you have decided to conceal your own email address and made the members profiles inaccessible.
Somewhere (I can't remember) it was mentioned that this forum was administered by a "team". Maybe this is an example of management by committee.
You probably don't remember but I was originally registered as "Blind Squirrel". After sending you an email where I stated that the forum "made my head hurt", you arbitrarilly decided to delete my account.
If your ego will not allow you to seriously reassess and reconstruct the format, then put it out of its misery as it is dying a slow painful death.

I too have been trying to follow this forum since reading Wayne
Dyers books.

It would appear to a closed shop with less than 10 main participants.

It is a shame when ego overcomes community sprit

Geez, can't please everyone. 8)

But I appreciate your comments.

My email address is wide open for any member to click on to reach me. If you can't find it within my posts, then go here

The Members profiles were removed from NON members only. If you are a member, they are easily accessible.

This forum is not managed my committee.

I remember you.

There are 800+ members that would probably disagree with you.

If you don't like it here, why do you post?

More to the point why do we not post !!

The work of Wayne Dyer deserves a wider audience and unfortunately
this forum is just not doing that .

Chris , please step back for a moment , sometimes we can get too close
and smother things ..

We do appreciate the work you have done and are doing .. as you say
the site has attracted 800 members , but if you are honest with yourself
less than 10 of these are active.

We want to give Wayne Dyer and your forum our support .. in order
to do this you have to let go .. just a little ??

Ahhh, don't blame it on ego.

wink

Actually, there are exactly 142 active participants right now that have sent a message or participation post.

According to the traffic stats, this site is growing in interest, and not shrinking.

I have not been actively driving this forum and that might explain why it's lost some of the frequency of emails that we had in the start. At the same time, I'm not going to kill it because 5,000+ folks are finding value in it monthly and therefore it shall be here for when 'the students are ready' to participate or just lurk.

Web communities ebb and flow, and it's pretty natural.

Ok, uhmm, what specifically are you suggesting?

You say, "you have to let go"...

How specifically would you like to see me let go?

I'm open to your ideas.

Chris,
You asked, "why do I post"?
In my email to you I stated that I wouldn't be posting but would "look in" from time to time. I have done so and found the postings are few and far between. If, as you say, there are all these "active" members, then they must be lost in the clutter that is a big part of why it all "makes my head hurt".
I, personally, am seeking to communicate with those who are actively living the principles of "Power of Intention". As well as those who have learned how to get in the "gap" that want to share their descriptions and perceptions of this wondrous process.
In regards to and out of respect to the aforementioned principles, I realize that I am projecting and reflecting my own ego.
Thank you for your gracious response.

3 How can we get Wayne Dyer to participate.

One of his family members is already a member of this forum and monitors it.

Wayne's not into computers from what I understand.

I've been aware for many years that he is aware of this discussion forum, and I'm sure when he is ready to participate...he'll show up. Until then, the welcome mat remains rolled out for him.

Waiting for posts and comments to show up here is like watching grass grow. Admit it Chris, this forum has a serious problem and it is time for you to face your denial about it.
I am truly sorry for you.
Goodbye,
Gary Bell

Maybe you could spread some fertilizer on it?

One of you 'critics' posted the following
"Simply invite everyone to put forward ideas on"
Response Everyone is invited but few do

1 How the forums can be improved
Response the improvement begins with YOU - instead of criticism, post something that will make me what to know more!

2 How we can all promote the forum worldwide.
Response Hey, we are on the 'net' - it already is worldwide, and who knows, perhaps beyond )

3 How can we get Wayne Dyer to participate.
Response Wayne participates by allowing us to tear his books apart. He writes nothing that needs defending - he writes what we are to read - hear - at some given time on this journey. His words are but symbols for us to use to think about how we are making this life we are living. You don't need Wayne here - you already have his readers and his words.

4 Create a community spirit of mutual help.
Response This community started by Chris is just that - we are all here to listen to each other, offer suggestions to each other, extend love to each other - to hear the call for help and love that many shout in their posts. What we are not here for is to judge others - for that would be judging ourselves and some of us would not like to be judge like that.

On a personal note you have done a great job on getting this site going ,
now reach out and involve everyone.
Response Just putting this board back on is a great job - and if you do not feel a hand extended to you - then keep reaching out and feeling around - a hand is there just for you.

Now - are you ready to do your part on this board?

Namaste - Ron

Dear Friend,

Remember rule # 6, please.

A sincere thank you! to all who accompanied me throough my recent "ego spasm".
I am now posting as "Blind Squirrel".

As a process, I now miraculously find that the postings have taken on a new "clarity", and new insights are "showing up" in my mind and heart.
Is it a coincidence that I just began the practice of "getting in the gap" right at the beginning of this year?

"it" is also showing up in my business. I long have suffered from a lack of energy and stamina that manifested in a great deal of stress manageing my business and coping with my family, etc. Over a period of weeks since beginning this meditational practice, I notice a subtle change. My energy is more balanced, my business is more prosperous, and my family life is loving and joyous.

"Real life" is still happening of course, the sources of all the stress haven't changed, (or perhaps they have), I've only changed my perspective.
As the good doctor says, "when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change".

As for the origin of the name, "Blind Squirrel", came from an old colloquialism, "even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while".
Spiritually, the blind squirrel is a symbol for the unerring flow of "Intention". All in creation are provided for.

Blessings,
Gary

If you think you can do better do it!. If you think theres something better out there be part of it!. If you have a sugjestion make it!. But the need by some, to judge in a negative light, is not a reflection of this site, it is only a reflection of your personal need to judge. peace, Lola
