Michelle,

Welcome to the forum. 8)

I've never been to the Middle East, but I have a friend who travels to Jordan once a year to visit the Dead Sea.

Curious Where in the Middle East do you live?

welcome Michelle

I know you will enjoy your visits to the forum - I have only been a member for a few days but am enjoying communicating and reading the posts from everyone.

I was just thinking about Kuwait this morning and so it is wonderful to have someone to talk to from there.

I spent some time in Saudi Arabia and many of the surrounding countries back in 1984 and 1985 as a flight attendant during the time of the Hajj and the Teacher's Movement. We were based in Jeddah. It was an incredible experience and one that I wouldn't give up for the world.

Enjoy your time here.... Jil

thank you chris and jilly for the warm welcome!!! i have a question? yes i am fairly new at this "metaphysics stuff", i was curious and forgive me if this question sounds dumb! but if we are capable of co-creating our lives, which i experience on a daily basis with amazing results, should we be "thanking" something, like the divine source?? i am out of the loop with titling myself or linking myself with a religious group. please bear with me i learn a wittle slow but this stuff makes me feel so so good! also i work in elementary so my vocabulary should not surprise you!! thank you again! yours truly, michelle ps kuwait has been humid for the past few days, who's complaining it's good for the skin!!

hi chris, i have a few questions and would appreciate your opinion or anyone elses, i have lived in kuwait through both wars, but 911 shook my boat! i did not travel to usa for 5 years because of "fear'! FEAR FOR MY KIDS WHOM ARE HALF AMERICAN AND HALF LEBANESE, SO MY FAMILY and i suffered dearly, so this last war with iraq, my father asked me to return home i declined, and he said he trusted my judgement, any how the sirens went off in kuwait several times and yes in the begining there was alot of concern, when it was all said and done a great sense of protection came over me as did when i was here for the first war, and i called my family and said we are coming in june as soon as school wraps up. they were of course thinking i would change my mind, but i was determined to block out media, second hand information and go for it! and now a few days ago i have allowed myself to be surrounded with media chatter, and the latest here in kuwait is warning westerners about being in the malls, well hello friends and i have a nail appointment in the mall this thursday, what do you do? i tuned in to my inner voice and there wasn't anything screaming "stay out of the mall", so yes i have decided to keep the appointment! now my question is, is it right to just ignore all that is happening in our surroundings, cuz it is everywhere! am i stupid to believe i am divinely protected by spirit, where is the guarantee of my safety? yes i need enlightment!!! tune out the tv and newspapers i am a happy camper! thanks for hearing me out!! yours truly michelle

Michelle,

The USA is safe and I think you've been listening to the anti-USA media too much. I live in the midwest and we do not live in fear.

If you want to feel safer while visiting the U.S., then don't go to Manhatten or LA or any major city with populations over 1 million. I guarantee you'll feel safer in small to medium size cities here in the U.S. than in our MMSA's (Major Metropolitian Statistical Areas).

Come home.

Hi, Michelle and welcome!!
It's good to know that we're all on this journey together even though we're miles and miles apart. According to the media, you're in a war ravaged part of world and it breaks my heart to meet someone so close to all the destruction. I pray that very soon all humans will be able to see each other as brothers and know that what we do to you, we do to ourselves.
May Divine Guidance watch over you and keep you and your family safe.
God Bless You
Namaste ~
Jaye

I highly subscribe to Dyer's theory about worry. To paraphrase, worry is a useless emotion - there is absolutely nothing to worry about. If there is something you can do about it, then there is no need to worry. You simply get on with doing it. If there is nothing you can do about it, then why waste your time worrying?
You do what you can when you can and trust that the Universe is in it's right and perfect place for this moment and the next and the next.....
I don't worry about alot in my life. If I start, I try to catch myself and remember that I'm only wasting my time.....

hi Michelle

You asked who to thank for your co-creation - my answer would be, "yourself", the goddess that you are.

We are all one with ourselves, each other and the Source, it is when we think of ourselves as separate from Source that we start to worry and feel lonely.

You are safe, whereever you choose to be and I would listen to your heart and your brain and your very wise self and make decisions based on those messages and not those from any media source. You will ultimately make the right decision.

light and love Jil
