Hi, my name is Charlie Gilmore, I live in London, Ontario, Canada.
I have read a few of Wayne's books (The Power of Intention)(10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace) i really enjoyed both, but iam having trouble implementing the strategies into my life.
I work in the construction industry and I do a very good job of blocking out all of the negative energy. My favorite place to be is the gym, because i can feel all of the positive energy flowing through my body and the health benefits are obvious. I recently started yoga and it has been an amazing experience and will continue this for the rest of my life. I also try to eat as healthy as possible. So my question is what is the next step to being happy and succesful. I know we should be doing things that make us happy but the position i am in now I keep finding myself ready to connect to the world then the next day I feel like giving up. How can I manifest what I want in my life when my ego is blocking my heart.
I just became a member and do not know where this will take me, but i hope it helps.
Sincerely, Charlie Gilmore

Welcome to your right and perfect place as well as all of us. We are glad you are here and you will have much to teach us as well learn from us.

It appears that you focusing on taking care of your body, your physical health but somehow feel that you are not achieving what you are searching for. You wrote "So my question is what is the next step to being happy and succesful. After reading more of Wayne, you will discover that the solution to a problem lies within the problem. In your yoga exercises, think a bit about the following question, which by the way, can only be responded to you by you

What does being happy and successful mean to you? Is it based on financial rewards or material items? And if so, those are of the world you make, but what you are looking for, could be hidden within you. Do you meditate? I assume you do from yoga. In meditation we can experience ourselves not as this body, but as the truth of who we are. Did you ever realize that happiness is a short-lived item in the world you make. You are - and you are not alone - always searching for happiness out there but failing to find any satisfaction whatsoever. Recall one item you wanted so badly - you knew if you could only have that item, you would be happy forever - or at least for a while. Recall how short lived the happiness was?

The feeling of giving up is coming from the ego side of you - it wants you to stop looking for what it has been hiding from you - you just might find it and realize what true happiness is. And if you feel ego is blocking your heart - and this is a good phrase - think of who ego is - you! You are blocking the love from your own heart by fearing perhaps that you must concentrate on the body instead of your soul or your mind, however you may look at it. The body is with us for this illusionary journey, but when the body ceases to be, we continue just as we have forever been. Wayne focused a lot on his health also, and yet it did not prevent him from being shown where he placed his trust.

Trust in your truth - seek out your soul - go within and just be there with yourself - your true self - and just be at that place that Wayne calls no-thought. Just be there and experience truth.

Often we see ourselves, and often we are told, we are our own worst enemies - well, that appears true, but we are also our own best friend.

Namaste - Ron

Hello Charlie,

Welcome we are glad you are here. You came to the right place at the right time.

Just a thought for you, I used to work in the construction trade and know how tough it is.

Picture this, see everyone on the job site sitting and meditating while saying AHHHHHHH. This makes me smile thinking about it.

Sincerely,
Eric
