Thanks go to Jim Yasuda on Larry's WD list for this find!

This is an interview with Sri Guruji Pillai, a man that Wayne often credits for his meditation philosophies and more

An excerpt
My basic teaching is, you become as you think. You must be very, very careful about what you put in your mind. You really have to correct your thinking process. You should not allow any negative thoughts to come and have a grip on the mind. Purge the thought the moment it comes in. Say, "I cannot think you. I don't like you. I would rather live in ease. Shut up and get out!" Go on doing the sound meditation and visualizing. Yogananda wanted to find a house. He had no money, no visa, no work permit, but he wanted to live in a mansion which today would cost several million dollars. He did not worry about money. He said, "Money will come." Even though you may not have a dollar in your pocket, you should not become negative. It may be real that you don't have a dollar, but you should never become pessimistic. You are the reflection of God's energy, and God is not poor.

Makes sense. This is a central theme that I've seen before -- "As a man thinketh" comes to mind....

Hello Chris.

Dr. Pillai used the spiritual name Guruji when Dr. Dyer first met him. His current spiritual name is Baba Sri Siva and you can find his web site at www.babasrisiva.com -- If you'd like to meet Baba in person you can check out one of his many public seminars around the world. He also offers videos from some of his intensives and CDs with many of the techniques, if you prefer home study.

Baba is a Enlightened Tamil Siddha master, which is the same lineage as famous Indian masters such as Babji and Agastiya. The Tamil Siddhas believe that all of life, including the human mind, is made up of sounds - change the sounds in your mind and you change your thought patterns and what you'll attract. There are sounds to attract povery, wealth, enlightenment and just about anything else. Obviously you would want to cultivate the more positive sounds.

Dr. Dyer was given the specific sound ""Ah" from Baba, which was explained in Manifest Your Destiny.

Tamil Siddhas like Baba also believe that each of us should enjoy a complete, well-rounded life right now, not in a future lifetime or after death. So. the technques, like "Ah" are streamlined and simple.

Hoping this info gives you some more info about Baba (formerly Guruji).

Love and Light,
Sara

Thanks Sara!

Sorting this all out -- "Guruji" was the former spiritual name of Dr. Pillai's and that his current full spiritual name is Baba Sri Siva, not just Baba.

This phrase was mentioned in the first post by Chris - This is the title of one the most powerful books I have ever read. It is a book written by James Allen and contains 52 pages. I once attended a study group on this book which took over 8 weeks to get through. Twice on my path I have encountered 2 people who have had a very spiritual experience with this book. The first one was an addict attending my Course class. This man had gone through 'Nam - had several addictions - had cancer - and was loaded with anger (his words). He told me of how he was given a copy of this book when he was going to Nam. He put away with other of his possessions, never read it, and simply forgot about it. After Nam, after his discharge from the hospitals, half-way houses, etc. he hit the streets and went back to the drug of choice. Whatever he had, he lost. He was literally a man that carried his world possessions with him. And one of them was this book. He still had not read it. Then came another stay in rehab and he found the book - read it and then read it again - and claims it change his life - he was sober from the first reading on. It still is his most prized possession in his successful life.

The other person had a similar story - he was given the book by his father before he left for Korea - packed it away and just forgot about it. While he move about a lot, he never lost it, nor read it. Somewhere just before he was to ship home, he just sat down and went through his "things" finding the book. He stopped and read it and he too suddently saw life much differently - more beautiful than before the reading.

I recommend this small book for everyone.

The more you give - the more you get. "Serving others is the rent we pay for our room here on earth." I have lent books out many times and not had them returned. Yet I know that there is always a reason - even though I may not see it at the time. Maybe the day will come when that person will be a ready student and the "teacher" will be the book. )

kjkane wrote "Maybe the day will come when that person will be a ready student and the "teacher" will be the book."

Perhaps, just perhaps, if you look at this you will see that the "student" here is you and the teacher is the one you lent the book to?

Great quote but what is the "all" you have? It is of course Love, for nothing else exists, nothing else is real. Now we have this because of who we are, but if we don't acknowledge it, if we don't believe in it, then it does us or another little good. It is easy to extend Love to another, once we are aware we are Love, but until we become aware of it, we are denying our own Truth and that of others.

Or to say it the way Siva Baba and so many other masters do, to be Love is to know that you are not the image you or anyone else has created for you; it is to know that you truly are God (or Goddess, if you prefer).

This must be a confusing and puzzling area for those who grew up with Christianity...

Christianity would say that anyone who believes they are "God" is dillusional as thou shalt not worship false gods, even if they are yourself.

This could just be semantics...

It has been said that humans were made in God's image... It was never written that God made humans to be God also.

Just for the record, I am not God.

...and yet, that does not prevent me from knowing that I can act with the kindness and love that one could believe God is capable of offering.

I can also be "God-like"... but

The duality in all of these arguments is that RELIGION believes that God is a separate entity from humans and that some in the "NEW AGE" movements believe that we are God.

Which is it?

Some days I feel like my brain needs a hard drive reformatting just so that I can think about complex issues without previous biases... idea

Or could it be that because the U.S. grew out of a Judeo/Christian culture and with language evolved of a Judeo/Christian culture, the basic U.S. cultural thought process and language don't contain that which can readily explain aspects of cultures not Judeo/Christian? So the explanation gets muddled inside of a lack of language clarity?

I don't experience these philosphies as one of being god but striving to conciously experience a life that is god-like, chosing to be an integral part of that which is, of that which is the miraculous and of -- well, for lack of a better word in the English language -- god.
