Did I read Ms. Collins note correctly? She had the lyrics that Skye sang because she TAPED the PBS special. This is copyright infringment. Just because a lot or people do it doesn't mean it's legal. And yet she is complaining that Skye infringed a copyright by changing the words of a prayer that is so old it is in the public domain.

It is very doubtful that Dr. Dyer is intent on attacking Catholocism. Collins entire note confirms the New Age philosphy that institutionlized Christianity is fear-based religion. An enlightened Catholic would see that Dyer's work is awaking people to deeper levels of spirituality. His work is a tremendous gift to humanity and the planet. St. Franics had a similiar struggle with the Church. Perhaps, in a few centuries, the Church will cannonize Dyer P

I would like to state that God is neither here nor now and is nothing that words can decribe, including that word love. It may be more important to look at the differences so that you can see.
It may also seem that your whole message is contradictory in itself.
The word everything may be the closest.

can there be an enlightened anything?

I feel Wayne Dyer has seen some of the truth but has not fully grasped it. It is important in this world to look to those who know.

Wayne is a fraud where his teachings completely condradict his teachings. Can anything move away from its source i would argue that source is everything so how is anything able to move away from itself. Or fathomn the possibility that there is no

Toni Collins responded privately and asked me to post her comments to this issue

I'm happy to be corrected, but my understanding is that on January 17, 1984, the Supreme Court ruled that using a home VCR to tape TV programs for later viewing does not violate federal copyright laws. I viewed my tape, took notes, researched further and wrote my article. Also, it is important to note that the song "Prayer of St. Francis" by Sebastian Temple is still copyrighted; it is not in the public domain. Other versions of the prayer are in the public domain, but the song that Skye sang is not.

On the topic of copyright infringement, I think Ms. Collins is correct or at least if you consider the million+ folks who have Tivo, ReplayTV, or any digitial DVR (Digital Video Recorder) are all time shifting when they watch copyrighted TV shows...so I do not believe there is any actual illegal activity happening here at all with respect to Ms. Collins taping and reviewing later the PBS special for her personal non commercial uses.

As for the issue about the song that Skye sang... new information suggests that Skye was forced to change the lyrics as demanded by the legal team at PBS...

Any potential copyright infringement issues relating to the song being used in a commercial way is really between the folks who own the copyright to Sebastian Temple's song and the people who use the song without a license. The rest of us are only outsiders on this issue.

From my little bit of research, it appears these folks represent the late Sebastian's copyrights
